How far in advance do you normally book?
It varies. Generally, couples contact me 9-14 months ahead of their wedding date. I book as early as 18 months in advance, but sometimes as little as a few weeks. The best way to guarantee your date is to book it!

Do you travel?
Absolutely! So far, I’ve shot weddings as far south as Mexico and as far west as Minnesota, and I’m always up for expanding that list. I’m on a plane at least 8-12 times a year. I love to travel, and I will happily do so for your wedding.

What kind of couples are a good fit?
Anyone who is going to embrace me in a hug at the end of the night in a “We did it!” sort of way. Down to earth, genuine, loving people - those are my favorites. I’m sincere in saying I work with the best couples - just about everyone I’ve worked with winds up being completely wonderful and turns into a friend. It’s a dream job.

Do you need a shot list?
I would love a list of immediate family & close friends so that I know who to keep an eye out for during formal portraits. Beyond that, I prefer to go with the flow of the day and capture real moments rather than create images off of a sheet of paper.

What is your average turnaround?
My average turnaround is roughly 3-6 weeks. I edit literally every image myself, allowing me full creative control and enabling me to fulfill my promise to you as your wedding photographer to supply you with consistent and high-end work.

How many images should we expect?
Typically, at least 75 photos per hour spent working your wedding.

How can my family order prints?
Your final online gallery will be published to you, and you can then share that gallery with whomever you’d like. Through that gallery, you & your loved ones can order prints, framed photos, “Thank You” cards, and much more. You also receive “print rights” and can opt to print elsewhere if you so choose.

What kind of gear do you shoot with?
I currently shoot with top of the line Canon gear. My cameras have dual memory card slots, and I carry back-ups to my back-up… I like to be prepared.

Do you offer a second photographer?
I prefer to shoot solo and almost never hire a second shooter. I am happy to go over the details behind this preference with you. All of my weddings featured on my blog were photographed solo by me and can give you an idea of the range of coverage. But if you have your heart set on a second shooter (or you anticipate having a gigantic wedding!), I am a part of a great network of local wedding photographers and will be able to hire a talented second shooter for your day.

What happens if you’re sick?
It fortunately hasn’t happened yet. However, if - due to hospitalization or some other drastic reason - I am unable to make your wedding, I will reach out within my network of talented wedding photographers and find you a superb substitute.

Do you have insurance?
Yes. I am insured through Hiscox and am happy to provide you with proof of this insurance, should your venue require it.
