Lydia & Austin met while living out in California, but returned to Lydia’s New England home for their wedding. They brought the calm, clean California style with them. I’ve never seen a bride and groom so relaxed just prior to the ceremony. They were all smiles, their families danced together all night, and their simple fall wedding was a gorgeous event.
Hilary & Chris, Wedding @ Heritage Museum & Gardens Sandwich, MA
What do you get when you know almost the entire wedding party and adore every single one of them? A blog post with over 100 photos. I've known Hilary for, wow, 21 years and Chris for 12. They've been together for over 11 years and and married last month to the absolute joy of everyone who knows them. They are sincere, kind, and so damn hilarious. It just absolutely ruled to be there to witness their happiness and capture their wedding day.
Sarah & Sean, Wedding @ Arlington Town Hall, MA
When Sarah & Sean first reached out to be to photograph their wedding, they said, "Our venue's very dark, but it seems to match your style." And when their wedding day arrived, I fell completely in love with their venue. The rain, the wind, a change of ceremony location... none of that mattered. Sarah was so excited to marry Sean, Sean was so excited to marry Sarah, everything was beautiful, and when I asked each to pose serious for a photo, it was difficult to get them to stop smiling. The day was perfectly wonderful, and I was so pumped to be there to capture an awesome couple at one of the coolest venues.
Brittany & Jeffrey, Wedding @ Charles River Museum of Industry and Innovation in Waltham, MA
Britt's sister, the maid of honor, began her wedding toast by saying, "I'm just curious, how many of you here tonight consider Britt & Jeff to be some of your best friends?" The entire wedding erupted in cheers.
Britt & Jeff are great. Jeff would throw his championship WWE belt in the air while Britt smoked a cigarette in her flowered wedding dress and leather jacket. They're also incredibly kind, laid-back, and so, so genuine.
Their wedding was a DIY masterpiece and a true celebration of love, for one another and everyone surrounding them. I felt real lucky to be there to capture it.
Stephanie & Christopher, Wedding @ The Old Lantern Inn & Barn in Charlotte, Vermont
I've known for Steph for 15 years. In the past year, in part due to her reaching out regarding wedding photography, we have reconnected, and I am so happy about it. Chris and she are a perfect match. They are kind, smart, and full of love for their families, their friends, humanity, and one another. Their rustic, mid-April wedding was met with cold winds, harsh sunlight, and a certainty that none of those things would mess with their day. From an orienteering course for their guests to Chris's family hopping in with the wedding band, their wedding was full of fun, full of love, and simply the best way to kick off my 2018 season. Cheers to two of the best!
Emily & Justin, Wedding @ Sandos Caracol Eco Resort in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico
Emily & Justin assured me I'd love Mexico, and wow. I really did.
But beyond falling in love with the gorgeous landscape, kind people & really cool culture, I got to witness one of the most stunning weddings of all time. 50 of their closest family & friends traveled down for the occasion and made me feel completely welcome. Emily made her dress, her accessories, the dresses of her bridesmaids & both mothers, her husband's suit, all of the favors, and all of the decorations, so there was a cohesive and intimate beauty in every detail.
And... I just think everyone should get to laugh this much on their wedding day. Justin and Emily have that really wonderful, really happy love. It was awesome to be trusted to capture it.
Here's to Le Pants King & Queen!
Laura & Alex, Wedding @ Just Right Farm, Plympton, MA
Laura & Alex are magical. 14 years together have earned them an obvious deep understanding of and everlasting appreciation for one another. They had an intimate ceremony at a historic church that didn't even have electricity, followed by a dance-heavy reception at a place near & dear to their hearts, Just Right Farm. This was a real special one.
