Carly & Brandon's Private Elopement in the Arnold Arboretum Jamaica Plain Boston, MA

Carly & Brandon's intimate elopement at the Arnold Arboretum in Boston. A perfect private vow exchange under a big tree followed by a lot of laughs.

Casey & Tim's Rustic Backyard Wedding

Casey, Tim and I connected through a mutual friend, but I was unavailable for their original date. When the pandemic forced them to change their date, they reached out again. And thank goodness they did because, finally, something good came out of the pandemic: one of my favorite weddings of all time.

Ainsley & Anderson's Pandemic Elopement at Quincy City Hall in Quincy, MA

Anderson DM’d me on Instagram three days before their wedding, asking if I was available to photograph their elopement. We had met when I photographed their engagement at the end of 2018. They had to postpone their big wedding celebration for a year due to COVID-19, but - as Ainsley so succinctly put it - “We were really ready to be married.”

So happy to get to be there for one of the most joyful unions.

Trang & Alex's Reception at Eleanor Cabot Bradley Estate in Canton, MA

Trang and Alex’s wedding day went through so many transformations before they finally decided to marry in a private ceremony and celebrate in a big old party at the beautiful Eleanor Cabot Bradley Estate.

It was the perfect decision.

It rained all day, forcing everyone on to the dance floor to warm up, where Young Love & the Thrills kept them moving all night.

Mora & Daniel, Magical Elopement in the Woods @ Duxbury, MA

Mora and Daniel’s plans for a large wedding got to be too much. They decided to call it off. Then, last-minute, they opted to pack a picnic, grab their family and closest friend, and head off into the woods in Duxbury, MA for a perfect New England elopement. Their friend made the bouquet and (delicious) cake and officiated the ceremony. Their children helped carry the picnic supplies through the woods and hid their eyes as Mora & Daniel kissed. The day was the happiest kind, as evidence by all of the laughter below.

Mora & Daniel - Thanks for including me on such a special day. It was one of my favorites.

Katelyn & Michael, Wedding @ The River Club in Scituate, MA

When Katelyn, Michael and I got together for their engagement photos, she wore a floppy hat that he had surprised her with and spontaneously decided to bring a bouquet of flowers as a prop. They thanked me numerous times afterwards, saying how wonderful it was that the two of them just got to hang out and appreciate one another and their love for an hour. Their wedding day was, unsurprisingly, a wonderful celebration of that genuine emotion.

Angie & Steve, Wedding @ Tinkhamtown Chapel (Mattapoisett) and Black Walnut Inn (Plympton)

I have been talking about this wedding just about non-stop since October. Still, the only words I can come up with to describe are “a complete dream.” A heartfelt, intimate ceremony in the cutest little chapel followed by a warm, happy, twinkle light-lit outdoor reception (in mid-October!). When I mentioned to Steve how incredible everything looked, he attributed it to his wife, Angie. He said that she has a vision of how things should look, then puts in all the hard work to make that vision a reality. I think it really paid off on this day in particular. Congratulations Angie & Steve!

Sarah & Sean, Wedding @ Arlington Town Hall, MA

Sarah & Sean, Wedding @ Arlington Town Hall, MA

When Sarah & Sean first reached out to be to photograph their wedding, they said, "Our venue's very dark, but it seems to match your style." And when their wedding day arrived, I fell completely in love with their venue. The rain, the wind, a change of ceremony location... none of that mattered. Sarah was so excited to marry Sean, Sean was so excited to marry Sarah, everything was beautiful, and when I asked each to pose serious for a photo, it was difficult to get them to stop smiling. The day was perfectly wonderful, and I was so pumped to be there to capture an awesome couple at one of the coolest venues.

Brittany & Jeffrey, Wedding @ Charles River Museum of Industry and Innovation in Waltham, MA

Brittany & Jeffrey, Wedding @ Charles River Museum of Industry and Innovation in Waltham, MA

Britt's sister, the maid of honor, began her wedding toast by saying, "I'm just curious, how many of you here tonight consider Britt & Jeff to be some of your best friends?" The entire wedding erupted in cheers.

Britt & Jeff are great. Jeff would throw his championship WWE belt in the air while Britt smoked a cigarette in her flowered wedding dress and leather jacket. They're also incredibly kind, laid-back, and so, so genuine.

Their wedding was a DIY masterpiece and a true celebration of love, for one another and everyone surrounding them. I felt real lucky to be there to capture it.
